Konepaja area

The Vallila Konepaja area of Helsinki is a former suburb of Helsinki and the industrial area is today a pleasant and interesting urban and developing entity, which has various offices, one hotel and several restaurants and bars.

The Pasila machine shop is a nationally significant industrial and cultural environment. At the time, it was the biggest machine shop of the State Railways, which currently employed around 1,500 people. The Konepaja area is located about three kilometers from the center of Helsinki, in the area between Alppiharju and Vallila.
